Have you been nominated as an officer in your absence?

The BONS bylaws require us to elect executives in May. We are looking for members who are interested in filling the positions for president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer. If you want to contribute to the operation of BONS, please call Doug Koch, chairman of the Nominating Committee, at 540-722-9336, before the May 12th meeting to let him know which position is of interest. Doug will then present his slate of volunteers at that meeting, If more than one person is interested in any position there will be a vote.
There are unexpected advantages in working on the Executive Committee. You are in the thick of club operation and can directly influence its direction. There are also many opportunities to make interesting and valuable contacts with experienced beekeepers, and participate in regional and state meetings. Well yes, you can do all that without being an officer but there is greater desire to become more involved when you are responsible for BONS management.
Note that those running for VP should consider that position as preparation for becoming a future president.
