About
The Beekeepers of the Northern Shenandoah (BONS) club is dedicated to the promotion of local beekeeping and practices that are safe for the environment and honey bees.
The club meets monthly in the library of Blandy Experimental Farm, State Arboretum of Virginia, at 7:00 PM on the second Thursday of every month except July and December. The Arboretum is located about one mile east of the intersection of Highways 50 and 340 in Boyce, Virginia. The club meetings are open to all interested persons as a forum for interaction with local beekeepers and area experts. Topics include question and answer periods, presentations and demonstrations on subjects related to hobbyist beekeepers.
Annual membership of the Beekeepers of the Northern Shenandoah club runs from July to June, and costs $20 per family. Membership includes annual membership with the Virginia State Beekeepers Association.
